About me

I am a local restaurant food photographer in San Juan, Puerto Rico. My career as a food photographer started two years ago when I began to create content for social media. Since then, I have dedicated all of my focus to improve my skills, and make a living from doing something that I love.

Two margaritas shot from directly above โ€” but the cocktails are almost secondary to what the light is doing. Hard directional light rakes across a tufted cognac leather surface at a low angle, turning each button and seam into a ridge of shadow. The geometric pattern created by the upholstery becomes a graphic element as strong as anything on the glasses themselves โ€” long, deliberate shadows stretching from each drink across the warm leather like sundials marking the hour. The two glasses sit at offset positions, each with a dehydrated citrus wheel centered on the ice. One carries a spiced red rim, the other a clean black and white edge โ€” the same drink, two personalities. Both pale and luminous against the deep amber of the leather below. No table. No bar surface. Just two cocktails resting on furniture that was never meant to be a set โ€” and yet here we are. ๐Ÿ“ Doble Cero ยท San Juan, Puerto Rico

A single plate elevated on a black pedestal โ€” isolated, deliberate, lit like a painting. Hard directional light enters from the left and finds only what matters: the textured ceramic bowl, the amber tomato sauce pooled at its base, a charred element below and a delicate salmon timbale above crowned with a nest of fine crispy threads. Everything else โ€” the room, the pedestal, the marble floor โ€” falls into deep shadow. The caramel velvet banquette curves behind the plate like the wall of a gallery, adding warmth without context. The black pedestal lifts the dish off the table and into the frame as an object of study. The marble tiles at the bottom edge ground the image in place without breaking the mood. This is a restaurant that understands that how a dish arrives is part of the dish itself. The image simply agreed. ๐Ÿ“ Doble Cero ยท San Juan, Puerto Rico

Two hands bend an orange peel over a crystal-clear cocktail โ€” and for a fraction of a second, the citrus oils catch the light and fill the dark frame like a private fireworks display. Shot with hard directional light against a near-black background, the mist of expressed oils is frozen mid-air by a fast shutter โ€” hundreds of individual droplets visible between the peel and the glass below. The bar mat's geometric pattern grounds the frame while the dark apron and ornate hardware behind the bartender add depth without distraction. The cocktail in the glass is almost colorless โ€” pale, clean, waiting. The entire drama of the image lives in that suspended cloud of oil between two hands and a drink that's one second away from being finished. ๐Ÿ“ Nectar ยท Rรญo Grande, Puerto Rico

A hand rests on the arm of a woven chair, holding a rocks glass with the quiet confidence of someone who has nowhere better to be. Shot with hard directional light from the side, the deep amber of the cocktail glows from within โ€” the ice catching light at its edges, the glass warm to the eye before it ever reaches the hand. The gold watch against the white dress shirt sleeve tells you everything about the kind of evening this is. The textured chair arm and the warm wooden slats below ground the frame in El Corcho's unmistakable atmosphere. The lacquered black surface behind absorbs all distraction. What remains is a single moment of stillness โ€” a drink held, not yet sipped. ๐Ÿ“ El Corcho ยท San Juan, Puerto Rico
